Lora Webster, a 32-year-old wife, mother, cancer survivor, and Paralympian is the Democratic nominee for the Town of Hempstead Town Council in District 5 – a historically Republican seat. After the incumbent unexpectedly resigned and moved out of state, the Democrats now have an opportunity to flip the Town of Hempstead blue, one seat at a time.
Lora has been endorsed by the New York State Young Democrats.
