The Chemung Democratic Committee is holding a candidate reach out event at the Steele Library, Monday May 22nd, 6:00pm.
We invite interested citizens looking to make a difference, to come to the event and get more information about running for public office.
There are a number of town council seats up for election this year across the county, as well as all 15 Chemung county legislature seats up for election in 2018.
We want to answer your questions, as well as provide information about the process of running for public office.
Our community is at its best when citizens decide to engage in the process of government by becoming public representatives willing to improve that process, along with making their voices heard publicly and speak directly to the people.
