DESCRIPTION:The Chemung Democratic Committee is holding a candidate reach o
 ut event at the Steele Library\, Monday May 22nd\, 6:00pm.\n\nWe invite in
 terested citizens looking to make a difference\, to come to the event and 
 get more information about running for public office.\n\nThere are a numbe
 r of town council seats up for election this year across the county\, as w
 ell as all 15 Chemung county legislature seats up for election in 2018.\n\
 nWe want to answer your questions\, as well as provide information about t
 he process of running for public office.\n\nOur community is at its best w
 hen citizens decide to engage in the process of government by becoming pub
 lic representatives willing to improve that process\, along with making th
