Generation Democracy: Training Young Progressives to Win in 2020 is a virtual conference that will focus on training Gen-Z and Millennial activists to help Democrats win the White House and both houses of Congress this November. Through comprehensive peer-to-peer training, we will equip young organizers and volunteers alike with the skills they need to effectively mobilize voters of all ages, but particularly young voters, within the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference will begin with keynote remarks from prominent elected officials and youth organizers. Then, attendees will be able to choose from two tracks of breakout sessions based on their level of activist experience:
- Volunteers
- Organizers / Group Leaders
Each track will consist of three breakout sessions led by young organizers with expert experience in political campaigns and progressive advocacy, We will conclude with several bonus breakout sessions open to attendees of all experience levels.
Ultimately, every attendee of Generation Democracy will leave the virtual conference with a clear idea of how they can make a difference in the final two months of the campaign to ensure that Democrats win up and down the ballot. Throughout the conference, we will share a multitude of calls-to-action and volunteer opportunities with our sponsoring organizations, providing immediate and easy opportunities for volunteers to implement their newly learned skills to get out the vote.
For years now we have dreamed of the younger generation rising up to solidify an unbeatable Democratic coalition. Now is the time to make that dream a reality, and Generation Democracy is a first and monumental step in doing so.
