Dana Koenigsberg

Dana Koenigsberg

Dana Koenigsberg is a life-long Staten Islander, currently serving with the Young Democrats of Richmond County. Her interests focus on humanitarianism, social/racial justice, women’s issues, education, environmental conservation, and disability rights. Growing up in a special needs household has been a significant influence on Dana’s motivation to participate in the community and help others.

Dana received her childhood education from New York City public schools. At 15 years old, she participated as a student ambassador to Japan through the People-to-People Program, originally founded by President Eisenhower. This sparked an avid interest in travel as a means to form connections between people from different places and cultures.

Dana is currently a member of the United Federation of Teachers and speech-language provider/teacher of speech for the Department of Education.

In addition to her work/politics life, Dana is an eager volunteer, avid reader, dedicated runner, and musician/art enthusiast.
