As the President of New York State Young Democrats, Patrick Jordan brings a wealth of experience to the New York State Young Democrats. Previously having served the Political Director and Downstate Vice President of NYSYD and as the Executive Vice President of the Queens County Young Democrats, where he was, to date, the longest serving Executive Board member.
Patrick has worked on Democratic campaigns all over the state – ranging from city council all the way to congressional races. One of his proudest moments was working as Campaign Manager for former Queens Council Member Mark Weprin.
Currently, he serves on the re-election campaign of Council Member Paul Vallone. Prior to that, Patrick worked as the Field Director for State Senator Todd Kaminksy’s 2016 re-election campaign, and has worked in the Office of the NYC Public Advocate Letitia “Tish” James as an Outreach Coordinator with a focus on Queens.
Executive Vice President
Lauren is a UAlbany graduate with degrees in Political Science and Public Health and an extensive track record with both UAlbany College Democrats and College Democrats of New York. She has been active with Albany County Young Democrats, most recently serving as their President in 2015-16. Currently, Lauren is the Mobility Manager for the Capital District Transportation Authority where she works on shared mobility options for the greater Albany area. When she’s not knocking doors, you can find Lauren hiking up mountains or skiing down them.

Justin A. Westbrook-Lowery is a sophomore at Fordham University, who is majoring in political science. He is a graduate of Xavier High School, which is a Jesuit Catholic institution located in Manhattan, where he was the first openly gay president of the student body. He has been an intern for NYC Council Member Ritchie Torres (D-Bronx), Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner (D-Bronx), and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio. Justin has participated in nearly every election cycle, since Bill Thompson’s 2009 mayoral campaign, as a proud volunteer. He currently serves on the boards of several clubs and institutions. He has been the youngest member of Bronx Community Board 9, since he was appointed in 2015, and is the Vice Chair of the Social Services and Housing Committee. He serves on the boards of the Stonewall Democrat Club of NYC, the Bronx Borough President’s LGBTQ Policy Task Force, and is the First Vice President of the Bronx Young Democrats. He is also the recipient of the 2017 NYSYD Rookie of the Year.
Manhattan Young Democrats President
Mohammed is a graduate from The City College of New York, with a B.A. in Political Science. He helped establish and was President of the Roosevelt Institute Chapter, and was elected Executive Vice President of the student body. Mohammed has previously worked for U.S. Senator Gillibrand, U.S. Congressman Rangel, and NYC Speaker Quinn. Mohammed has also worked in The White House, the New York Attorney General’s Office, and the Center for American Progress. He is currently the External Affairs Manager at the Center for Court Innovation, which promotes new thinking about criminal justice reform. On a voluntary basis Mohammed served as a Finance Council Member with Hillary for America, is a New Leaders Fellow at the Carnegie Council, and was recently named President of the Manhattan Young Democrats.
Queens County Young Democrats President
Stacey A. Eliuk is proud to serve as NYSYD‘s National Committeewoman, as well as lead the Queens Young Democrats’ dynamic Executive Board as the organization’s (first female) President. A steadfast #QueensKid and native New Yorker, Eliuk is a leader who has built upon the many accomplishments of boards past to further grow and unify NYSYD‘s membership and build its capacity, reputation and influence within the larger political network of YDA.
In the past, Eliuk has worked for State Senators and Council Members; fundraised for candidates and causes; knocked on doors and got out the vote for ideals that mattered. A graduate of Queens College and Columbia University, Eliuk currently serves as Queens Outreach Coordinator for the Office of NYC Public Advocate Letitia James.

Brian is currently a student at Binghamton University, with a double major in history and economics and a minor in education. His first political involvement came from interning with Kim Myers for Congress, Democratic campaign for NY-22, where he worked as the campaign manager’s assistant. From there he went on to serve on his local Democratic committee, and intern with a US Senate office. He is also the Vice President of the Binghamton University College Democrats.
Downstate Vice President
Glendalys Salgado is a Proud Bronxite. Currently, Glendalys is the Executive Assistant for the Bronx Democratic County Committee (BDCC), and she is also owner of a digital marketing company named Bronxite Consulting, Inc. Additionally, she has a background in small business financing and merchant services.
Born to a large Nuyorican family who have deep roots within the Foxhurst community of the Bronx, Glendalys developed a love for community engagement at a very young age. She was a youth mentor and tutor at St. John Chrysostom parish church and grammar school. She graduated from Bronx Leadership Academy, a high school that specializes in Law, and is a Business Administration and Management major at Bronx Community College.
Her political career began when she served as President of BCC‘s Student Government Association and a delegate to the City University of New York’s University Student Senate. She began working as an Administrative Assistant and IT Specialist for BDCC in July 2013 under newly elected Speaker of the New York State Assembly Carl E. Heastie.
She presently still resides in Foxhurst, as a constituent of the 85th Assembly District, with her daughter Vivienne Rose.

Jovan C. Richards has been labeled an Entertainment, Political and Hospitality Professional.
Jovan is known for specializing in the performing and media arts, coordinating media strategies for political and non-profit organizations, and finally, the art and science of mixology. Currently, Jovan is proud to be working with companies and organizations like The New York Yankees, The Prudential Center in New Jersey, LMC-TV, and the Whitney Media Radio Stations. Jovan is also the Vice President of a national non-profit organization, Operation Prom. In addition, he serves as an Executive Board Member and the Caucus of Color Chairperson for The Westchester Young Democrats as well as the Communications Director for The Black Caucus of The Young Democrats of America. Jovan was just recently elected as Chairman for The New York State Young Democrats Caucus of Color.

A Staff Attorney for the Family Law Unit of The Legal Aid Society of Rochester, New York, Heather works primarily with domestic violence victims and low income individuals on various family law matters. She serves am the President of the Monroe County Young Democrats, the largest NYSYD chapter in Western New York, and is a member of the Brighton Democratic Committee. Heather currently serve as co-chair of the Women’s Bar Association for the State of New York’s (WBASNY) PR Committee and is the immediate past co-chair of the Membership Committee, where they have achieved the milestone of being the second largest bar association in New York. She is also an active member of the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys (GRAWA) and the Monroe County Bar Association.
